Poor customer service leading to exorbitant costs!

My wife was on maternity leave for 3 months and ended up not getting one month's Salary due to the nature of her employment. Now the known standard for financial services is that you notify the bank and your creditors of any impending issues in advance.

On the 12th of April she went to the branch and spoke to the lady at the enquiries counter and spoke to a lady named Busi. My wife told her that there will be no salary to pay the instalments and no record of such conversation was loaded into the system for consideration, leading to the bank levying an amount in excess of R3000 in charges. when they call her, she supplies all the information to the relevant agent, whose name was Donovan.

This has left us with a very bad taste in our mouths as this is not the first issue with the bank and she willing to even sever an age long relationship with the bank as I have done so 5 years ago because of the same issues with the bank.

Pathetic really!
