Poor customer service

Get sms from Absa to tell me they couldn't bill the digital transaction charges for Month of August and September due to technical issues therefore both months fee will be added to my banking fee for October. I call banker to verify SMS is legit firstly then to find out what happened. The lady has audacity to tell me as long as I have balance in my cheque account they have right to take their fees. Yoooh did I not loose it on lady.

Firstly I work so hard to keep budget and I'm so stingy with spending trying to make sure there is balance left after I pay bills, is bank living under rock are they not aware economic crisis majority of citizens are facing so how dare you want to take little I have left without proper explaination. Secondly I am Key Account Manager so I deal with clients on daily basis. So I would never not deliver expected service to my client even if if its technical issue for 2months and not tell my clients. Its simply ethical business practice to be transparent with client that this is difficulty so client can also plan accordingly. Then thirdly whose problem is it that there is technical failure for 2months, what IT or OPs department do you have that takes 2months to resolve something. If that's case take ownership and share the cost of inconvenience with the client. Forthly when I ask how much these fees are as there is difference between R50 and R500 being taken twice they could not tell me. Haibo I must just allow double fees of amount I dont know to occur?

Worst part is when I chat to friends that are also absa they agree that had Absa just told us within 2weeks of noticing problem as customers we would have understood so it's not me just being dramatic doing the "I want to speak to manager" move.

Moral of story, Dear Absa proper customer service is not complicated - its valuing me and 1000s other of people enough as customer to be transparent with us when such technical issues occur within reasonable time period not few days before monthly fees go off 2months later, you communicate early so I the customer may plan...
