Thank you for the platform,
I would like to get clarification on Zimbabweans who have not received their permits and still waiting but their accounts have been put on hold,
I went to your Silverton branch and was assisted by Kgopotso and told me to go to the Department of Home Affairs to get a re-print of the slip as it was valid for 6 months, I understood and yesterday that is Monday I went to Midland where I submitted my permit application only to be told to get a letter from the bank. I then went to Absa by the Boulders Mall and as I was being assisted they specified that they do not give letters, but insisted on using my appointment letter from Home Affairs that I had forgotten because I never knew it was not going to be asked. Theodora did her level best in assisting but my documents were short, I appreciate her help so I decided to go back home.
My question is today I went back to theSilverton branch and I got the surprise of my life, I was being helped by Zandile Sigudhla and she told me what the Absa in Midrand was doing was wrong and should go back to Midrand again .
Please help me I need to access my cash and the Silverton consultants have closed the doors on me. They did not even bother calling Midrand to ask how they were going to help when I suggested to call them, do you have different policies per branch or do you use theAppointment letter from Home Affairs to re-open an account put on hold
I thank you
