Poor customer experience in ABSA Newcastle
I went to Absa in the Newcastle branch not so long ago with my mother. I needed to pay an extra R10000 on her loan and I needed guidance as to how I can do this without actually going into the branch each time because this will be an ongoing thing and we don't stay in the same province.
After standing on the line for more than 30 minutes a girl called Sphesihle Buthelezi called people in and she pointed at my mother and told her to go in. I then asked her for a moment cause I had a query....and she turned around and asked what... when I told her we want to pay extra on a loan but.... she asked who's loan? I said it's my mother's and she said mama go in and you must wait outside. She rudely left, I tried to stop her to tell her that I was not done I need to ask something. She just looked at me and went inside and close the door to block me. Okay, I thought maybe she's in a bad mood and gave my mother the money to go in. Mind you my mother is not good on technical things. Hence I needed to accompany her to make sure that the money is paid into the balance and not the instalment. I let it slide and decided to excuse Sphesihle Buthelezi.
I opted to asking the short guy who was supposedly outside assisting people and had a sanitizer. You wont believe what happened, I waited for him to come to my way and greeted him then asked for assistance. He walked passed me, then turned around and stared at me, I then approached him. Before I could explain Sphesihle came outside and wanted to talk to the guy... he turned around and left me there.
