Please help

I had an absa cheque account then i had to stop it due to personal reasons but i never closed the account as i never knew that i was supposed to close the account so and so there was money deposited on that account since i still have the cardd i went to absa Garden route mall to activate the account and i was told my account is under lawyers i must come back after 7 days i went back today i was asked by the lawyers if i want to pay my account with that money and i said No they then said i must come back after 4 days WHY? Absa is a very big bank for tbese 7 days and 4 days and i dont want to say its bad service because i got a very good service from absa consultant its just that am not happy about this 4 days after i wited 7 days .
