ABSA wants to deliver a CC, with no documentation involved, not even showing an ID, with a R500 tap facility, which can't be lowered, BUT I have to verify on their app, every time I want to transfer R100 data to my brother, an existing beneficiary, and after logging into online banking and jumping through all the security hoops.
And one needs to visit a branch to verify biometrics to activate a debit card or use the Digital ID App, ON A PHONE!
Clown world.

Dear Gys Olwage
We refer to your complaint forwarded to our office regarding the delivery of your Credit Card without any documentation.
Thank you for confirming that you received your Credit Card.
Please be advised that as part of our security measures, DSV will make contact with the client first to confirm where they would want the card to be delivered. The Card will not be delivered without confirming this with our customer first.
The matter regarding the downgrade of your Surecheck was referred to our Digital Department which stated they have reached out to you and assisted with your request.
The matter regarding the tap-and-go functionality was taken up with our Credit Card Division and they informed us that the tap-and-go functionality is specific to each POS device/vendor. The tap-and-go functionality should work for a maximum of 3 transactions and on the fourth transaction it will request for the card to be inserted and for the pin to be provided. The alternative should you not wish to have it is to have it de-activated at your nearest Absa Branch.
We extend our unconditional apology for the inconvenience caused as this is not aligned with Absa Bank's customer-centric service theme.
We trust that you find the above in order and confirm we are closing our file herein.
