Paying for a mistake from Absa

A while ago, my Absa debit card was causing problems whereby it did not want to work when swiping at certain retailers. I had the card replaced at the Absa branch in Atals road, Dunswart. Two weeks ago, I went to Absa in Greenstone Mall to enquire why my card is battling to swipe again as it keeps on declining. They had one look at the card and confirmed that the reason it declined was because it was a cheque account card and my aco**** is a savings account. I did not ask for the cheque account card, it was issued to me by the Absa branch in Dunswart. Now I had to pay R100 to get the correct card from Greenstone Mall! Why do I have to pay for this when it was not even my mistake?
