Paying a Bond that never comes to an end

I am needing help with what has happened with my Bond. I bought my house in 2000 in 2014 i fell behind in my payments. My ex husband stepped in to assist me. He went to see a lawyer who contacted Absa the amount outstanding was R681715.63. It was then agreed that he would pay for the next 6 years R11400.00 the Bond would be paid off. In total an amount of R511000.00 has been paid. But the outstanding balance is still R 480000.00 . When we took out this bond 20 years ago it was done through a Platinum One Account *** so not a Bond Account. Not sure how i am going to resolve this problem . My ex can not carry on paying my bond for me . I would like some advice on what can i do. Ive been to my branch in Benoni but they cannot assist me .
