Pay more and get penalised
I have a credit card with Absa bank.
This credit card I use for my monthly petrol and vehical expenses.
The limit is not high, only R3880 but seeing that I only use R3500 worth of fuel each month it will do.
After my salary cleared last month, I called the bank to get a current balance (as there statements are always late). I am told that the min amount payable is a small amount, around R200 - R300.
I pay R3800 and bring the card to a zero balance.

Then after a few weeks of putting in fuel, the card is rejected at the fule station (insufficient funds).
This was odd as I had only but in 2 amounts of fuel and I still have a long way to go until pay day.

Absa bank with out informing me, decided to half my credit limit to R1940.
If I had kn own this before making payments intio the account I would have paid in the min required and put the rest of my money into a different bank card.

No I have no money for fuel for the rest of the month.
Absa bank showing just how little they care for you..
