Pathetic service with no solution

Hi There, My mother had a stroke in 2014 and has been an ABSA Bank client since the inception of the Bank. In the month of June we upgraded her device after a breach on her previous device via her ABSA Bank app ,which we logged and deleted the app on her previous device as it was ****med with Cash sends via the ABSA Bank app to *****ulent individuals. We got her a new device and because she is a pensioner due to her stroke she always wants to know her banking activity in her account. After getting her a new device we installed the Banking app on her device , she could not log in as the bank requested that she must come in personally to activate and be verified. Now she had a stroke , she is physically disabled, can not walk and are most of time bed ridden, the bank still insist that she must come in personally. We put forward a request for a consultant come to the house and was advised by the Customer Service Manager , Mr Visagie of the ABSA Bank Parow Centre that he will look into it after the Consultant at the front desk said ,my mother must come in personally even if we must bring her bed into the Bank. This all happened in June 2024 .I travel internationally and recently returned only to find out that the Bank or Mr Visagie had never come back to my Mother or anyone else. I went to the Bank yesterday and find out ,he apologized for not getting back ,so typical ! and then said that the Risk Department of ABSA Bank has advised the only solution is to get Power of Attorney from an Lawyer or Advocate. , now to get all those in place you will probably spend up to R9000 in fees and consulting for an Attorney to issue you those docs just to activate her ABSA Bank app on her new device . I found it very discriminative against the elderly and the physical disabled . There is no empathy or compassion but yet they want to charge you exorbitant bank fees just to bank with them.
