Pathetic service from the Restructuring Department!!

I app**** for 3 months Covid relief, but according to ABSA it was only 2. I have contacted their collections department on numerous occasions and now getting SMS's to say they have made numerous attempts to contact me?? They are clearly trying to score an extra's months payment, as my final payment date has been confirmed by them the exact date it should be if I had received a 3 month Covid relief. Their 'Restructuring department never answers their phones, and the managers don't respond to emails... and there are conveniently never any managers on the floor.

29-04-2020 – I app**** for 3 months COVID relief on and received an SMS confirming it will take effect from 01-05-2020.

05-06-2020 – I then received an SMS in early June to say my next payment will be on 01-07-2020, and another SMS to say my final payment has been moved from 01-12-2021 to 01-03-2022. *Take note that 01-03-2022 is the correct date for my final payment, if a 3 month payment relief was arranged (which it was). *Theoretically, if my next payment was 01-07-2020, then my final payment should be on 01-02-2022.

04-06-2020 at 09:46am – I called and spoke to a lady (cannot recall her name) to find out why my next payment will be on 01-07-2020 and not on 01-08-2020. She confirmed that everything is in order and to ignore any further SMS’s or emails.

15-07 - 10:02am – I received a call from Marianne Posthumus from your collections department requesting payment for the arrears amount that was not paid on 01-07-2020. I explained the situation to her and she confirmed there is nothing updated on the system and I need to make an arrangement for the arrears amount. I asked her where am I meant to find an extra 2k laying around with the current situation going on, and she said she would escalate the matter in order for my account to be rectified.

17-07 - 10:53am - I called in and was advised that my account is still on list of amendments and was asked to call back in 1 week.

24-07 - 15:09pm – I called back a week later as requested, and was told by Busisiwe that there is nothing noted on the system and my account is still in arrears. She said I need to discuss with the restructuring department on ***/18. *I called a few times and could not get through.

24-07 - 15:20pm - I called back into ABVF and spoke to Victoria. I requested to speak to a manager and was advised that there was nobody available at the time, she then provided me with your email address: ***

27-07 - Email sent to one of the managers, Eva Masemola - to date I have not had any feedback!

31-07 am SMS from ABVF threatening me saying they attempted to contact me on numerous occasion etc etc. when I am the one contacting them!

31-07 - 10:34am Busisiwe advised the issue is still with the restructuring department and I can email them on ***

Update:
I have since received an email from ABSA with a very satisfactory apology and to confirm that the issue around the incorrect arrears has been rectified. I contacted ABSA VF via telephone who confirmed that my account is no longer in arrears.
Thank you ABSA for your assistance in clearing up this matter!
