I was told when I app**** for a student loan for my daughter for her first year at wits, that the first year was interest only and when she work she will pay the installment balance. Now I was told I need to pay the full installment of over R4000 per month. Absa declined me when I gave them the first option for additional student loan for the second year, and Nedbank came to the party. I am a single mom and I begged Absa to reconsider, and they declined me due to affordability. How am I suppose to pay the full installment now, when you declined my request for additional funding, I was never advised about paying the full installment after 12 months. this is non disclosure from Absa. ABSA HAS NO EMPATHY OR SYMPATHY for working class single parent with no additional income providing an education for their kids and especially those who never skip a payment on their accounts,
