My Dad passed away in November 2021. Long story short, the lawyer who handles his estate struggles unbelievably to get any answers from ABSA. It's always they are "behind" with their affairs .. or some other story, and now the latest is that there is another account open that is on the deceased Mom and or Dad's name and they have been busy with the story for about a month now. They can not tell us the amount, why no one knows. Every time, WHEN, there is feedback, there is a new story. This is by far the most pathetic service I have ever experienced in my life. This is beyond ridiculous. There is absolutely nothing complicated about this. The value of the entire estate is well below R500K.
