Passing the Buck
On 28 August 2015 I requested Absa to declare a dispute on two *****ulant transactions as per my credit card statement.Four days later Absa advises that I have to contact the merchant, with whom I have never registered or transacted.Normal procedure for disputes is that the merchant is notified by Absa and if no reply is received from the merchant, the transactions are reversed, but Absa just passes the buck and I have to liaise with an international merchant I have never dealt with.Do they expect me to bear the costs of R718.00???
