Oversight of bank Employee ALMOST had my son stuck cashless overseas !!

On 28 October 2018 Frans Maleka helped me and my son to open a Cash Passport Account for him for his 6 month trip to the USA. I loaded it for him in Dollars from my account for the first months expenses. We were then told that I can only come in on a monthly basis to reload his card at the Foreign Exchange for the next month, as I was sponsoring his trip. We received a package of photostats with all our relevant ID's ; and Cash Passport card number etc. which I then should bring with. However when I went in this morning 26 Jan 2019 to make a transfer from my account to my son OVERSEAS I was told that I can't as I do not have signing rights on his Account. We were never advise that that should be the case or we might have even signed it and it was never noted on the system. So is my son now expected to return home once a month to load his card? I cannot see why I need signing rights for this as I was then alternatively able to make a Western Union transfer on the spot to him at the very same bank which is a far greater risk than a transfer to his Cash Passport Account. I'm also allowed in SA to make an EFT transfer to his South African Account. Both last instances does not need any signing rights. What is the use of this card if it could only be loaded here but the user thereof is in another country? His friends with FNB bank accounts could easily had there FNB accounts unlocked and did not need any "special" useless cards to transact with. Makes me want to move there after a lifetime with ABSA, What if there was no alternative like Western Union? All just because us as your clients was not made aware of this important fact by an oversight of one of your employees... So now we are stuck for the next four transactions at month end with Western Union Transfers and a worthless CASH Passport Card, as well as a back up card thereof. Worthless as the money send to him by Western Union cannot be deposited in the Cash Passport card overseas. He will now be stuck with cash which is a risk to him.
