Overdue amount

I bank with Absa and my car is financed by absa. I app**** for overdraft from absa then it was declined, when I asked for a reason I was told that my vehilcle is overdue with R11.80 (I pay my account through a debit order). I then called vehicle finance department, and I was told the reason for this being that on 31 December 2013 there were no finances and they debited twice on 25 January 2014 so the R11.80 is debit order charges. What make me sad is the fact that I called them somewhere last year to ask about it and I was told my account is up to date. With this amount being outstanding, no one called me about it and did not receive any sms or email notification about it. To be denied credit by your own bank over this is ridiculous.
