OVERDRAFT & UTTER LACK OF COMMUNICATION

This was my initial post:

NO FEEDBACK REGARDING OVERDRAFT

I app**** for an overdraft via online banking. The overdraft was successful, however when trying to 'Agree' to the quote, it stated technical error. I then phoned your Transactional lending Department, to which I had to do another application telephonically. Since I got married recently, I needed to submit my marriage certificate before the application could be assessed. I tried to send this certificate to the specified email address numerous times, namely ********** however, I received no reply or automated response as I was told I would receive. This is getting a bit frustrating now as I do not have time to go back and forth, phoning the Department to find out whether they have received the document or not. I need an email address which actually works, so that this application can be assessed.

In the interim, I have managed to send the document through to ABSA, after numerous attempts. Today, when logging onto my online banking I see my overdraft application has been rejected. How is this possible if the document was only received by ABSA, according to them, early this morning? According to the 3 telephonic consultants I spoke to, the decision takes 3 to 4 working days. I believe ABSA tried to contact me 5 minutes ago, however, when answering the phone was dropped in my ear. I have now received an SMS that ABSA has tried to contact me, yet they cannot get hold of me? When phoning the number given on the SMS, no one answers.

I am truly sick of going back and forth.

These following are people responsible for simply passing the buck, or not communicating to myself after this issue was initially raised:

Reviewer Update
Application was rejected, after having phoned Adri, due to the fact that my affordability would not cover the overdraft when looking at income vs expenses. HOWEVER, after having investigated further, it was discovered that ABSA only took into account one of my monthly salaries, where I clearly stipulated that I receive 2 separate salaries on a monthly basis. Just last month I financed a new vehicle through ABSA, and they were able to figure out that I receive 2 salaries, so why is the Transactional Lending Department so *********** and careless in assessing applications?
