Outdated home loan department processes

I want to pay extra into my bond monthly, but my banker tells me I have to complete a form every single time to ensure that the funds get capitalized. Would it not be obvious that the funds would need to be capitalized and not taken from interest amounts? Absa makes it really difficult to do business with it. Also, I have a flexi acc linked to the home loan, that was supposed to be capitalized and then the flexi and the almost R10k in it just disappeared! Why?
