Our late mother's money held in your bank

Good afternoon My name is seithati Ramollo and I would like to lay a complaint about one of your staff members in Absa Bank marblehall branch by the name of Cynthia she was very rude and dismissive.now here is what we went there to do, my brother and I went to Absa bank marblehall branch to claim our late mother's money from Absa because she had an account with Absa. Our mom past away in July this year and yes we took time to go and make the claim due to unforeseen circumstances,my late mom's name is Mary Refilwe Ramollo and we as her children nominated our brother Victor Masilo Ramollo to handle her estate,we went to court and got the letter of authority for him. Now when we went to Absa bank marblehall we were told by Cynthia that my brother was trying to commit ***** and that he was trying to claim the money of a person who is still alive and that he acquired the death certificate **********ly,now my question is don't banks have a link with home affairs so as to know weather or not a person is still alive or not and also if he acquired the death certificate **********ly did he also acquire the letter of authority **********ly? And does it really take 90 days B4 the money of a deceased person is released? Honestly I'm not happy with the service we got from Absa bank marblehall.
