Opening of a Business Account

I am a director in a newly formed Non Profit Company wanting to open a business account. My colleague and I went to ABSA York Street, George. We had all the accompanying documentation as issued by the Commissioner of Companies & Intellectual Property Commission. The official at the branch dealing with small business applications apart from looking uninterested to assist us also insisted that we do not have all the correct documentation. She could also not produce any reference as to what exactly was still required. She promised to escalate our inquiry to Head office and duly get back to us. It is now a week later with no communication from ABSA. Although ABSA was our bank of choice I approached another bank who duly confirmed our status as a NPC online and proceeded to open an account with us just having to sign some extra Bank documentation.
