Only visit this bank if you hate yourself
Sitting in the bank right now. Been here for 1.5 hours and only half way. Two employees out of a possible twelve at the counters. Manager gets upset when you ask if there is anyone else who can help.
Two out of twelve. On a payday weekend. Absa bank Tygervalley. Third time I've been here and third time I will have to wait more than two hours.
Hire more staff. Or at least plan better.

28 Nov 2023, 14:58So someone contacted me from Absa. The excuses were just plain ridiculous.
1) They are not increasing staff because people don't need to come in as much - Clearly this is absolute nonsense as ANYONE who actually goes into the bank will see with their eyes. Like seriously, senior execs need to get out of their house and actually sit in that queue and listen to people swearing about your bank.
2) They are apparently going to renovate the branch, part of the renovation is to reduce the number of cubicles to "manage expectations". - So let's think about this. You want clients to expect terrible service? 2/12, or 2/5 or 2/2 is still only 2 people helping.
3) Part of the revamp is to make clients more comfortable. - I've seen how much these "revamps" can cost. How about you spend that money on hiring staff instead? The branch looks fine, except for the annoyed clients. There's plenty of unemployment in the country. Hire someone to help.
