One big ****!!!!

This month on the 22nd and the 23rd I had two strange debit orders going off on my account. And today I called Absa to find out what is happening, I had never seen these debit orders before. The agent I spoke to gave me the alleged phone numbers of these companies who requested these debits. And I knew even before calling these numbers that they will lead to nothing.

Now I am very curious how easy is it for any person to submit a debit order request to Absa and have your money taken just like that. To what extent can my bank protect me against such ****s?I did not sign any document or give any permission for those monies to be deducted from my account. But the best and most interesting thing about all this is that my bank who is actually supposed to prevent and protect me from ****s like this will benefit very generously from me cancelling these debit orders; how very convenient!!!!
