Oh your card got duplicated?...

On 22 December 2017 my card got duplicated, and someone went on a shopping spree with my hard earned cash. I am a single mother of 2 children, and had to still buy stationary and monthly groceries, about R4000 was ****** out of my account. At first I was very pleased with ABSA, because before I could report the *****, they phoned me and said that they saw that two transactions was made on my debit card at the same time. I was in tears, very grateful that they phoned. What happened afterwards? They said they will call me, they never did, I had to phone them quite a number of times, they never gave me a reference number, I got one today when I phoned again for the umpteenth time, the lady over the phone told me, that this case was closed.

Why? I wasn't informed about this... I didn't receive my money, as to which I suppose ABSA has insurance to cover ********** cases. NOTHING, the lady opened the case again, and this time I got a reference number... So here I am, trying to pry maintenance from my children's dad, and missing very much needed money, money that I need for food, nappies and formula for my baby, stationary for my child, and ABSA just closes my case...

Please sort this out ABSA, this is not fair...

Reviewer Update
After logging this hello Peter complaint, ABSA contacted me, and within 2 days the money that was ****** from my account was fully returned to me. Thank you ABSA for assisting me, my best advice is, that the service level be as good as on Hello Peter, otherwise it wouldn't have taken a month to assist. I'm very grateful for the reimbur*****t, but was not happy for all the trouble I had to go through to get my money back. Thank you for the great service
