I am still waiting for response from your Credit Card Legal Department. Please check with them what the hold up is. There really isn't much to investigate, the records are available on your system and the account was not sold. It's been a week already. Please share the details of the head of the mentioned department with me. The delays could be due to lazy employees who just report to work for pay checks. Please expedite, I'm getting really frustrated now with poor service from ABSA.

That is what I have done and have got nothing, except " We are still investigating the matter". Please get the Cards Legal Department to wake up and start working. This has to be the worst service I have ever received. No wonder ABSA ratings are so low.

That it not true. I started liaising with ABSA regarding this matter on Monday the 11th of September 2023. I am happy to send you all the correspondence should you need it. Also if you lookup you would see that you responded to my complaint on the 14th.

As I mentioned previously, I initially sent my request to ABSA on Monday morning last week. I only started communicating with your later as I was not getting any joy, and I still find myself in the same position 7 working days later.

Please be advice that I will be logging an official complaint with the Banking Ombudsman and the NCR regarding this matter. This matter is way past your turnaround working time and have no hope that I would be assisted without the intervention of a body outside ABSA.

In my complaint to the Ombudsman I will not only request that they compel ABSA to send my requested letter, I would also be asking them to take appropriate action against ABSA to ensure that they take their customers more seriously and operate within the boundaries of the regulations.

I finally received my prescription letter. I wonder how much longer I would have had to wait had I not involved the Banking Ombudsman. I hope others who are still stuck in the unfortunate position as I was would read this and know what to do against non- cooperative creditors like ABSA.
