Not happy with ABSA Vehicle finance

i bought a car from auto eternity dealership from alberton, absa financed the car, my car arrested by the police they got that the engine does not have engine number, i did call absa on tuesday i spoke to kgomotso and other consultant from vehicle finance department, they advise me that the bank does not get involved in checking the car they only finance based on papers that the dealer provide to them, so my question is how do you make sure that the dealer is not selling ****** car or the car does belong to them, this is your assets and i think you must get involved.
