Not giving statements

<p>My mom who stays at the rural areas took a taxi to malamulelele on 1/13/2017 and Went to absa Malamulele branch. She wanted her bank statement, when she got there they told her she needs to use the ATM outside(my mother dont know much about atms she only knows how to withdraw money). No one could assist her in getting her statement even though she asked for help from the consultants.</p> <p>She says one of the consultants told her they won't help her coz she wants to use the statement to go open an account with another bank.</p> <p> </p> <p>Must a person explain themselves before they get their statements?</p> <p>Maybe this is a new requirements from you guys.</p> <p>Can you please clarify this to me.</p> <p>Coz my mother went home empty handed, she traveled all the way for nothing.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
