Not delivering on expectations and inefficient back office process for online applications

i app**** for an online credit card on 21 September 2017. I received an email on the 22 September to accept the quotation for the credit card. I then called the Call centre and accepted the quotation telephonically, monthly installments and fees were discussed and I accepted it. I also received the quotation via email and was asked to send the following documents(3 months payslip, copy of my id and proof of address) to ********** I sent the information the same day and was advised that the process would take 10 working days to receive my card because I did an online application. I then called back to the CC on the 30 September( 5 working days later) to get feedback on my application and spoke to Elizabeth Mashigo who was very helpful and said she will escalate my application and get back to me the same afternoon before 1pm to let me know what I need to do from my side. At the end of the day,30 September I still had no feedback or call back from Elizabeth. I then contacted the CC Again on 2nd October (7 working days since application date) and spoke to Elizabeth again who then asked me to send all my documents to her and she will recapture the application form and escalate the application form. I sent all my information on 2 October just before9am and received an acknowledgment email from Elizabeth. I then sent another email on 05 October( at 6:37 am I asked for feedback again from Elizabeth. She responded that she had tried to re-capture the application but it gives an error and is expecting a response from IT Support that day, 05 October. I then followed up on 6 October with another email requesting feedback and did not receive a response. Today, 9 October(11 working days after application) I called the Call centre and asked to speak to a manager. I had then checked my credit report and saw that ABSA did 3 enquiries on my name and as a result my score had dropped from good to favourable which was a concern for me. I spoke to Debbie who then advised me that my application is at the credit department and she will escalate It and get back to me. She also advised that if I do go into the branch they wont be able to help me because it will reflect as a duplicate application. Also I followed up via email with Elizabeth and she responded that she captured the information twice and it still gave her an error and is waiting on IT support. amazingly, I received an email and an SMS now this evening at 6:04 pm from ********** telling me that I have a saved application form and I need to complete it in 30 days. I then received a reference number to access the saved application. Upon trying to retrieve the application in my amazement- I received an error saying: this application or quotation has been cancelled during the application process. if you till require a credit crd please apply online. I am amazed at this process because the website tells you that you can get the application completed in 10 minutes, no hassels but the back end processes and systems are not aligned in anyway. I am very disappointed, I am anew client and have heard great things about them and therefore decided to opt for them rather than FNB but I am worried if this is what happens at application stage, what would happen if I had to bank to them???
