None existent Customer Service

I have been a client of ABSA for the past 18 years. Most of my products are with ABSA. This includes our joint mortgage loan.

On Tuesday 11/4/18 I called the Home loan division with a request to recalculate our bond repayments. I received an email from ABSA requesting I visit a branch for assistance. I did that this past Satirday and after having spend at least 45 minutes in the Enquiry queue the clerk suggested he puts in a request on my behalf for a recalculation. But even he was not sure why or how the repayment works. He also requested that I come back into the btanch today( Monday) as the bond clerk will be in and able to help me.

I left the branch, I called the bond division and informed the operator that the bond calculator on the bank portals show that I should oay at least R3000 less. The operator also informed ne that the calculator is only for "first time home owner" to use. She advised that due to the public holidays someone will call me before Friday.

I went back to the branch today and syill no success. No one could help. The clerk did advice that he will call the bond division tomorrow and get back to me before 12.

One whole week and no one xan inform me how my repayment is calculated or whether we had requested the payment to be capt.

As stated all my products are wih ABSA from personal cheque account, business account and investment etc and I've veen a loyal client for the past 18 years.

I am ready to give another bank my business.

Does anyone care?
