Non-release of uncleared amount double debited
<p>On the 26/08/2016 I purchased some items at a clothing store and Absa double debited me for the transaction. A couple of days later the one amount went off my account, now reflecting on my statement. Now today I went to my nearest Absa branch where a customer service lady made a call and later told me that the money cannot be released back into my account because I need a letter from the store I made the purchase. Now this is the first time I hear of this.It is not my fault that I was double debited and normally when amounts are reserved they get released within a couple of days, now this has been weeks. I need the other funds released back into my account without inconveniencing me!!</p>

The transaction is for the amount of around R299 dated 26/08/2016. Now the one amount cleared and reflects on my statement for the 28/08/2016 which is why I thought that the amount willbe reversed back into my account
