Non cooperation from ABSA regarding Vehicle finance

I have been waiting for ABSA to finalize rebates process in order for me to settle the amount, unfortunately ABSA never came back to me and today I was wakeup by sms and call from Macrobert attorneys with latter of demand. So please advice on how can my account be handed over to Attorneys while i was waiting for ABSA to finalise the rebates process? How can my account be handed over to Attorneys without ABSA engaging with me first?

Your respond is waited and will be much appreciated because I believe because the process have been done behind my back and without notifying me, then ABSA will be responsible for attorney fees and interests added if there is any.
