4 months ago money went missing in my savings account, they advised me to cancel the card and they gave me a new card, I paid R100 for it then a month ago I did a follow up and they deactivated the new card and today(17/10/2018), they told me someone reported it missing I have to pay R140 for a new one, how did that happen because I gave them the card no. that the transaction was made from, why cancelling the new card which I just told them it was fine no unfami**** transactions? Now I have paid R240 to absa to try to recover R188 which was ****** which will never happen. Absa has highest banking fees in South Africa but customer service is very poor. I am so disappointed I wish I never reported this because now I lost more than was ****** from my account. Now I wonder every time I do a follow up on this case, my card would be deactivated and I have to pay for a new card?
