No response

I app**** for vehicle finance at AbsaEastgate on Saturday 25 July spending nearly 2 hours with a consultant. On Monday I received an sms stating my application was succesfull subject to terms and conditions and a consultant was to contact me soon. This was untrue. Finance was not approved. I spent the next 5 days trying to get it approved dealng with credit dept through a business partner. Between the 3 of us we got nowhere. After contacting call center who refused or were unable to put me through to a manager I contacted Eastgate branch manager who promised me a callback by senior manager on 31August. No call was received. I once again phoned Eastgate and finally got a call from a manager at 17h00. Despite a promise that she would look into this matter personally n<br> either she nor anyone else has bothered to contact me up to today. It appears that someone with a clean credit record, no debt and a R30000 outstanding bond on a Million rand plus house is too big a risk to finance a 2014 model car with less than 10000 kms costing R142000 with R30000 deposit and tradein. And on top of that not worth the effort to respond to.
