No records of old paid up credit card

I had ABSA credit card some 3-4 years ago which went to legal and ultimately paid up. Last year I app**** for a new card which aas approved. The old account number was listed negatively on ITC, now I a looking for confirmation of payment and account closure, no one have records of that account. Have been struggling for days to get proof and all people i spoke to they dont have records of old account.
