No Online Purchasing!!!!

i have been trying to make online purchases with my debit master card since i had my cheque acc with absa. I decided to visit the bank today and explained to the consultant what i wanted and she told me because its a debit card i wont be able to, i have the same card with capitec bank only difference is that my acc with them is a savings one. I find it strange that a bank as capitec has online purchasing facilities and Absa not, why should i have a cheque acc with a monthly subscription whereas i can get a free savings acc that does more? Its 2015 absa come to the party or train your staff members,
