No limits to poor service

My family and I left SA permanently nearly a year ago. We never experience poor, non-existent or shoddy service in our new home, so had hoped the customary poor service so prevalent in SA would become nothing more than a lousy memory for us. ABSA have other ideas. Because of very unjust and stupid rules and regulations, I have been forced to leave open a bank account in SA to receive a paltry annual pension payment. Recently, I receive a deposit refund from the notorious Jo’Burg City Council. This was vigorously questioned by ABSA, who froze my account and basically accused me of money laundering (not the first time I might add). Not satisfied with treating me like a ********, my debit card has now been disabled and on top of that, I am unable to make payments via the internet, because the system will not allow me to change my email address (which changed some months ago). I therefore cannot receive a thing called a VPN. I tried phoning the ABSA help desk for internet banking, starting at about 1:30pm SA time on 6 Nov. I was cut off three times. The fourth time at a few minutes to 2:pm, the supervisors would not assist because they knock off at 2. I was told to phone back tomorrow, which I cannot do because I will be at work providing a superior service to my customers. How low can you go ABSA?
