No help from absa ***** department

23rd December 2023 I was buying a property of R170 000 and later the same day I realised I was being ****med. I bank with TymeBank and I called them to reverse the transaction. But I was told it’s too late the money went through to an Absa account, I was advised to open a case and get an affidavit so they could have the account frozen. And I did exactly that. I managed to track the owner of the account as it turns out it’s the actual owner of the house but the house has already been sold. And he acknowledged the funds but said right after the funds came through the ****mers called him asking him to transfer the money to another account. He managed to transfer R15000 before the funds were frozen. We then went to the police station to make another affidavit so we could get the account unfrozen so I could access the remaining funds. Till this day we haven’t heard from Absa and every time we call we get told that it’s still under investigation. The account holder hasn’t received any kind of communication from absa and I have also made numerous calls and emails to both banks. My bank TymeBank says since the funds are with absa there’s nothing they can do instead the case is closed from their side. Absa won’t help me since I don’t bank with them yet my money is with them and the case with the police is also closed because there’s no new leads. Please assist I really need those funds released.
