NO FEEDBACK ON INSURANCE CLAIM, SUBSIDENCE

This business cannot be rated as there are no minus stars. But the platform insists so it gets a 1.

Never before have I experienced such inefficiency from a division of what is meant to be one of the top banking institutes in South Africa.

Normally posting on platforms such as this, is something I would avoid but I was advised by someone that the only way ABSA Insurance would react is via Hello Peter. Expecting a reply or getting them to answer would never happen. General consensus out there. Early March 2017:- After trying to get through to a certain Mpho Nrumo on at least 6 occasions to find out what is happening with my claim, (whose phone is normally engaged but when it isn't, is never answered) I tried back route numbers and someone eventually gave me a number of someone called Valverie. (Manager of Nrumo) (All Jhb numbers) An exasperated Valverie answered and when I explained my predicament she became my only lifeline in this whole thing.

She followed up , called me back and eventually when I called to find out what was going to happen after a period of nothing, she said engineers were appointed but was not sure why they had not been to the premises.

She followed up, informed me, and around end April an engineer arrived, looked around and a few days later, a team arrived to take soil samples.

I called The engineer around three weeks later to find out what was going, when I was informed that the report was submitted to ABSA and he was surprised I had no feedback. He was understandably unable to furnish me with findings as he was appointed by ABSA.

Since then I have left three messages for Valverie to call me (phone is either engaged or just rings) My lifeline was gone.

It is 23/08/2017 and I still do not know what is happening with my claim.

I implore someone from ABSA to call me and give me some good old fashioned professional service.
