No feedback after building insurance claim was submitted

I reported a leaking roof on Monday 19 June as a result of storm weather we experienced in Cape Town. I had to wait till the Monday in order to lodge a claim seeing as you dont offer assitance during weekends. Your assessor came out and now absolutely nothing is happening. When I phoned your call centre I was informed that the claim was forwarded to a specialised team, and I can expect feedback in 10 working days. This is not acceptable. We are trying to limit damage to the room and ceiling, but it is impossible to do so if we have to wait this long for your 'specialised team' to get back to us. It's the rain season in Cape Town and you don't do enough to assist us in this regard.

I urgently need feedback - the delay on absa's part is creating more damage. The roof in question was perfectly fine till the storms we experienced in Cape Town during the week of 16 June. This matter was reported at the first available time period seeing as claims can only be lodged during office hours. We have no way of limiting further damage due to being kept in the dark with regards to this claim.

I havent received any emails from absa.

How must we resolve this issue if there is no feedback from absa?

Is this the norm for your service delivery? Collecting monthly insurance premiums, but when it is time to approve claims you just dissapear into thin air?

I still haven't received any emails from absa.

You obviously have the wrong email address on record.

To think I have been using the same email address for years and absa still can't get it right.

What is going on with the claim? Why do you keep me in the dark?

Seeing as you cut and paste standard responses on this platform on a regular basis you should know by now that email addresses and phone numbers will not be displayed on this platform.

Shame on absa for still using the wrong email address even though it was rectified countless times in the last 6 years.
