No counter for senior citizens at Absa in Cresta in Randburg
When the Cresta branch of ABSA in Randburg moved to a different location in the Cresta Mall, they took away the counter for senior citizens. Went there twice today, refused to sit ina long que and when I returned the next time, the que was much shorter, but there were only two people assisting! I complaint to the branch manager, but he was not helpfuI and left and will not go back again.

09 Jan 2025, 19:37Absa responded to my complaint that they took away the senior citizen’s counter when they relocated in Cresta Centre in Randburg by stating that they do cater for frail seniors as well as senior citizens in wheelchairs! They claim “it is a challenge to prioritise all senior citizens who walk into the branch because of the high volume of customers who require branch assistance daily" However, it was not a challenge in the previous location. I have now asked the Cresta branch to have a wheelchair at the entrance so I can hop on it. Failing that, I have asked if I would be allowed into the branch if someone is pushing me in a Checkers trolly.
