No Correspondence in over 10 years

Backround: Bought a car, financed through ABSA. Car was written off. There was correspondende between The Ombudsman, ABSA employee (Aletta Botha) & Me. ABSA gave the total amount owed through to Ombudsman, but handed me over to their legal department for much higher amount. After a few unauthorized amount withdrawals from my account by them, I made a permanent payment arrangement of R200/month with a Mrs. Heunis. She said if I keep to this arrangement, they won't add interest. Ever since I have kept to it, but also changed banks. Occasionally someone would phone to ask if I am willing to increase the amount. Everytime I would explain the reason why I refuse to regarding the wrong original amount I was handed over for until someone actually sorts it out. I have never in the last over 10 years received any written correspondence from them. Last month on 16/10/2017, I get a call from EFG Attorneys stating that my debt has been handed over to them. I told them that I have not skipped a payment in the last 10 years. If this debt was handed over, what happens to my agreement with ABSA about no interest being added?

Dear Daphne Le Grange, Thank you for your response, but I'm not holding my breath or getting my hopes up. I have been given the same line for years by many of your employees. Every single time that a person phoned to ask me if I am able to increase my payment they said they will get back to me and never did. I'm also not sure how or what you are planning to investigate to give feedback about if you don't have any account number or my details. My apologies if I sound a bit sarcastic, but I'm so sick & tired of these empty promises.

According to ABSA's records last payment received was 01/12/2016 15/11/2017 (11:53am) I rep**** that their records are incorrect, have not skipped any payments since my arrangement made with Mrs. Heyns many years ago regarding no interest charges, which he confirmed telephonically is still in place. 15/11/2017 (12:15pm) Itumeleng Mataboge asked for payment confirmations. 15/11/2017 (12:44pm) I rep**** with typed Payment notification dates & times and beneficiary account to which payments have always been made to through cellphone banking. 15/11/2017 (13:05pm) Katryn Klopper rep**** that it is not their account number and that I must contact nearest bank. 15/11/2017 (16:40pm) I rep**** that they are just trying to pass the buck again. Surely they must be able to pick up the payments, because I have not changed the beneficiary account details on cellphone banking. (I attached the original emails between ABSA, Ombudsman & me). 16/11/2017 (10:14am) Itumeleng Mataboge asked for proof of Payment again, to enable allocation 16/11/2017 (12:10pm) I rep****. Attached the proof of payments (from 28/12/2016 - 28/10/2017) and said I will await statement. 16/11/2017 (15:18pm) Sonja De Waal rep****, thanking me for proof of payments and confirmed that allocation was actioned on 16/11/18, to reflect within 3 working days. 16/11/2017 (18:16pm) Email received from Katryn Klopper, thanking everyone CC'd for their assistance. (This was the Last EMAIL correspondence received from ABSA) 16/11/2017 I received SMS from ABSA, qualify for settlement discount 23/11/2017 I sent follow up email about detailed statement not received yet, no response or feedback 28/11/2017 I sent follow up email about previous email sent regarding detailed statement request not received, still no response or feedback 15/12/2017 I sent follow up email about previous emails regarding request for detailed statement, still no response or feedback 20/12/2017 Reminder SMS received from ABSA, Installment due I still have not skipped a payment, nor do I plan to. I am keeping to my end of the arrangement. It appears ABSA is giving me the silent treatment and doesn't know the meaning of customer service. They all seem *********** in their jobs and refuse to get to the bottom of the situation and the root of the problem.
