No Bond Cancellation, No Title Deed

On the 2nd August 2018 I filled in an application for a bond cancellation.

The bond cancellation (bond taken in 1991 for erf 95, Yeoville) for Erich Fellinger with account number was done by Boitumelo Digashu at Balfour Park Absa branch in Johannesburg and was sent to email address **********

A follow up on the account was done on the 20-08-2018. The customer service lady, Violet, at the bank (Absa Balfour park, Johannesburg) assisted me and was a great help and she received information from Telephone number (011) ********** . She was given the information that the account was under recovery and was sent to the legal department. She said I could call the same number to follow up on progresses.

On the 10 September 2018, I was back at the bank to do a second follow up. I called so many different Absa departments and every department told me that the account number did not appear on their system.

I called the Absa home loans department who gave me the number (011) ********** . I called the Absa legal department and I called the Absa recovery department whom told me to email ********** and lastly I called (011) ********** whom told me to email ********** and I emailed both emails and received no help.

How did the case just vanish!!? Could someone tell me if the title deed is lost? The bank should ask the deeds office for the title deed at no cost to me and cancel my bond because this is all their fault.

I am furious! There is a new law coming out regarding title deeds that could prevent me ever getting the original title deed. I need the title deed to sell my house and before that law is authorised 20 February 2019.
