New credit card application

Done the application on the 7th ad everything was finalised and the consultant even called me and sent an email that the courier will contact me to arrange the delivery , a week later I called ABSA to find out when will the card be delivered I was told that the application was captured incorrectly and it has to be recaptured. If I did not call ABSA was there anyone who was going to call me and advise ? Th service is so pathetic for such a big bank
