Never trust any discount offers from Absa!

Absa called me in March 2024 and offered me a 20% discount on my personal loan which was only R46000 in balance. I agreed to increase my payment by 100% which meant that the installment was doubled. I have been calling absa for 3 weeks pleading begging and fighting for them to close my account and send the paid up letter. They are just ignoring me. My account was not in arrears, I app**** for covid relief in 2021 which I had since updated and they called me out of the blue. I have never been treated with such contempt. Twice they have said I must wait for 4 days 2 weeks ago and again last week!
