Never Entrust your Last Will and Testament to ABSA!

I have been trying to report my father in law's deceased estate, of which Absa Trust are the executors, for the past 2 weeks. Five - yes FIVE - emails have gone unanswered . One of those emails was to Absa's "action line". (Should be Inaction line) In addition at least 8 phone calls (5 of those phone calls to the "action line") with no result.

Here is my warning - do NOT EVER appoint Absa Trust as your executor because it is impossible to to get them to register the estate and start the process to execute the will. This on top of the stress of dealing with the death of a family member.

They are going to charge you a 3.5% excl VAT fee on the value of your estate - for the privilege of frustrating and IGNORING you.

This is also an attempt to get ABSA's attention as nothing else has worked!!
