National Deceased Estates Absa

My son's father passed away in May 2022, and held several accounts with ABSA including one mortgage bond. ABSA has been delaying closing his accounts, with varying amounts of cash in them, however have been quite quick to issue a summons to foreclose on the property when there are funds to settle the outstanding balances in the accounts that they are refusing to close. It has been over a year and half, and I am growing increasingly frustrated. When the estates attorneys follow up they are told that the matter is still under investigation, although the FICA process has been concluded. I have had to pay over R100 000.00 for funeral costs out of my own pocket, and this delay has caused me incredible financial distress.
