National deceased Estate Absa, charge way too much yet do little work

It has been over 6 months since my mom passed. I think it's ridiculous it's taking so long before any process can actually be started and the fact Absa Trust is going to take so much money (minimum R27500 ex vat) for taking so long, where I could've had most of the stuff done myself by now, as one person. The life insurance is wanting to cancel the insurance if they don't receive a bank statement and bank cession letter to process the claim. I think the process followed is duplicated and unnecessary. How long is it going to take to get the stamped bond statement and cession form from Absa so I can complete the claim?

Amazing details requested and still not sorted and no contact made. Know the reason why now, strangely only 1 person dealing with deceased estates and that person not there and nobody else can fill in a cession form.

Dear Tarryn

The realisation of a cession has been sent to Old Mutual and we are awaiting response.

It has not been sent to Old Mutual. Your own cession form was sent, not the cession form they require which I have emailed through on numerous occasions.

What is the turn around as it's over a week since the 2 page form was sent to be completed?

This form was resent on 15 November, again on 16 November, email requesting follow up on 22 November and not 1 response. Think an ombudsman needs to be advised of the poor service from national deceased estates and when life policy refuses to pay cause it's taken so long to fill in a 2 page form, I hope Absa will pay out.

And what do you know, now 9 months, life insurance hasn't paid out yet as still cannot get the correct statement, R9000 in interest has been added to the account where I was told when i phone home loans to notify then about her passing I was advised account would be put on hold and have no added fees or interest. To receive an sms today that it's been handed over to collections. 20 minute wait for deceased estate after informing collections that home loan was notified of her passing and nobody answered. Numerous emails and voicemails left at Absa Trust and not 1 response. I hope Absa Trust is going to make a plan on all the interest added as it took 7 months alone just to get first set of documents, now more time and added fees cause nobody is bothered to actually do their job that is charged at 3.5% excluding vat, minimum R23500. Can I not get Absa Trust removed as executors as I am doing more work than them and yet will still have to pay a whole lot of money that's not available and now add on the interest. Have already starting advising friends to move any wills away from Absa Trust due to oathetic service.
