MUST GO INTO A BRANCH FOR REASON FOR REJECTION DURING COVID

Just app**** online for credit card. Then phoned by one of your agents. After lots of personal questions I'm told my application was rejected. No reaaon. Told me if I want a reason I must visit a branch.

This is rediculous. Why must I visit a branch in a time that the branches is queueing to the streets and a time also we are in a Covid lockdown with corona virus all over.

Why on earth can't the reason for my rejection be told to me over the phone or explained in an email.

Absa is still just as pathetic as 20 years ago when I changed to another bank. My credit profile is excellent and I have credit cards in good stance with 2 other major banks.

Why woukd ABSA reject my application? My concern is that this is due to a ****** objective?

Maybe only a certain amount of a specific race group may be approved as ABSA had before displayed it's ****** preferences.

I want to kbow EXACTLY why I am rejected bt one bank and NOT by others. If there is a logical explanation it would have been given to me. How can I rectify anything if I'm not told? Why must I be discomforted and exposed to the virus at a branch if I could be told what is the reason?

I cannot believe your incompetence.
