Money invested was actually not invested

My mom invested money with ABSA bank.When she went to enquire at the bank they told her it was a 30 days notice and they did that. After 30 days she went back, after 4 hours of up and down in the bank no one would assist but was told the money was never invested if she wants it she can take it as it is and she was charged R5000.Why did they make her sign for the 30 days notice?What about the interest she had hoped she would get? Are you decieving people? She called me with a broken heart and im hoping she gets clarification on that
