Miss Leading

Hi Guys

Trust you well during this Pandemic and ensuring that everyone is safe

Firstly I would like to thank you'll for taking the time in reading the below complaint I have.

On The 23rd of April I put through a claim on my Credit Card and Overdraft at the Umhlanga branch, which a lady assisted me in doing so in filling out the documents and sending this through to client life for a Retrench claim. I was advise that the process will take anything from 7 - 10 working days.

However till date I have not received any feedback via email regarding to the process or etc. or requiring any additional information needed for the claim.

I call in the office on the 15 of May 2020 and was advice that the process is still declined which the lady asked me if I have credit life on my policies which I have advise her that I do have this and it does reflect on My bank statements. She advise that she will re escalate this matter and ensure that I receive a mail from the assessor regarding to my claim which I put through, She did mentioned that I will receive a call back in 24 hours however once again Absa has failed.

I called again on the 18 May 2020 and advise the colleagues what has gone on thus far which she advise that an assessor will call back regarding to my claim which I submitted, till date no call back. Which I have advise her that the previous colleague mentioned that on my bank statement mentions salary however I have advise her that that’s incorrect as my payslip reflects commission , overtime and the UIF tier which has been processed and I could send through the evidence however she mentioned that the assessor will give me call back, however none received which I provided with my updated mobile number.

Then I called in on the 22 May 2020 as this has been going on for almost a month and till date I have received no update, which I asked to speak to a manager which she came on the line and asked me a few questions about my claim and she advise that the reason for the declined is due to my bank statement reflecting salary which I broke down what was paid to me in April and even advise her that I can send through my payslip as proof of what has been paid to me, which she asked me if she could contact my employer and I mentioned she is more than welcomed to do so and ask for the details which I offer to send aswell, she said I would receive a call back by the afternoon however till date I have not received a call back

This claim process was meant to be resolved in 15 days however is over a month and no response, this is one of many reason why I would like to take my service to a different provider to *******s from absa and miss leading to their customer and do not keep by their words.

Is this is not resolved by the 29th, consider me going to the Financial ombudsman for this as am at this point

Kind Regards Jose

Hi Lebo

This is on going far to long now and still I have not received any feedback on the complaint which I have put through.

The only peace of information is mails coming from you'll mentioning that you'll working on this and always extending the deadline, I was supposed to received Feedback from you'll on the 29/05/2020 as promised on the mail that has been sent through, however, this was extended till the 02/06/2020, it is now the 3rd of June and no feedback on the claim which I put through from the 23rd of April.

Are you playing a mick mouse game with clients and pushing work away, this is how I get treat after almost 15 years banking with you'll.

Am trying to get of you however there is no answer on your landline.

I know will take this matter to the ombudsman due to poor customer service and miss communication from ABSA.

Thanks
Jose
