Managing Contractors and Urgency

My house geyser was reported on 7th May 2015 as it was not heating up water. The first contractor came in on the 8th then back again on the 11th without doing anything. Feedback was given to Absa all this time. A new contractor came on the 14th and fixed the geyser. Upon finishing, the gentlemen mentioned that whatever they did was temporal and they will come back to properly fix the geyser. This was reported to Absa agents again. This contractor never came back.

As per their word my geyser burst on the 20th May 2015 and it was reported to Absa and I am still waiting for a contractor to attend to it.

The lack of urgency displayed by Absa agents is a big concern. Staying for 7 days without warm water is unacceptable if it is a result of lack of Contractor management.

A geyser burst is an emergency and should be treated as such.
